Care, information and support.

Our treatments

Specialist care, shaped around you.

Every person, scar and story is different. We begin with a private conversation and only recommend treatment when it is appropriate for you.

01

Areola restoration

Natural and 3D areola tattooing following breast surgery, reconstruction or gender-affirming surgery. Each treatment is designed around you, with care for skin tone, shape and personal preference.

02

Scar camouflage

Bespoke pigment matching to soften the visual contrast of mature scars, including surgical, skin-graft and burn scars. Suitability is always assessed before treatment.

Why we exist

Care that restores more than appearance.

Pigments In Positivity CIC is a Sunderland Community Interest Company created to improve confidence, wellbeing and quality of life through accessible restorative tattooing.

We believe specialist care should feel safe, respectful and within reach. That means listening properly, explaining clearly and never treating you like a procedure.

Gender-affirming care saves lives.

Restorative care belongs to everyone.

Our services include people recovering after cancer treatment, surgery, injury and burns, as well as trans and non-binary people following gender-affirming surgery. The reason you are seeking care will never make you less deserving of it.

Accessible by design

Support should not depend on what you can afford.

Our Supported Contribution Model offers fully funded, subsidised and standard contribution places, subject to available funding. Tell us which contribution level would make treatment realistically accessible for you, and we will explain the options currently available.

There is no intrusive financial assessment and no need to prove your worthiness. All conversations about funding take place privately and without judgement.

Professional referrals

Refer someone with confidence.

We welcome referrals from NHS teams, GPs, breast-care and oncology services, charities, psychotherapists, social prescribers and community organisations.

A referral should include

  • The person’s chosen name and preferred contact details
  • The treatment or area of concern
  • Relevant clinical information and reasonable adjustments
  • Confirmation that the person has agreed to the referral

A referral does not guarantee treatment. Every client receives an individual consultation and suitability assessment, with medical clearance requested where appropriate.
